Yesterday night my roommate came back pretty late from a meeting and we were both kind of hungry so I suggested stopping by McDonald`s because I wanted to also grab a coffee. We didn`t want to order such a huge meal because it was late and we`ve been trying to eat less fast food. My friend ordered a McDouble. I ordered a Chicken McBites (the shareable size) with Creamy Ranch Sauce and a medium Iced Latte with hazelnut syrup.
The Chicken McBites is a new item on the McDonald`s menu. It`s basically just small, bite sized chicken pieces that are breaded and then deep fried. It actually has more flavor than the nuggets because I think they add more seasonings. It reminds me of the popcorn chicken I always get from KFC. Overall, I think it`s a good snack, but I don`t know if it`s worth the price because a lot of the pieces are really small. I shared my order with my roommate and it was actually a lot more than it looked because we couldn`t finish it. I thought the packaging was convenient because when you flip out the side flap, there`s a spot for you to put the dipping sauce.
The Iced Latte was really good. I actually really like the coffee from McDonald`s and I like the added hazelnut syrup. The latte is not too sweet and not too creamy. It has the right about of sweetness, but still has a slight coffee taste. I don`t really like my coffee to be too dark.
