When I think about having a snack, I try to have something that will calm my cravings for sweets or junk food. I`ve been on a health kick for the past few months, and because of that I always make sure to have healthier choices when it comes to food. That doesn`t mean that everything I eat has to be boring because it`s healthy, I just find better alternatives that are still delicious.
One of my favorite snacks to have between meals is yogurt. I usually buy yogurt in the larger tubs because I go through them so quickly. But I know a lot of people out there probably think yogurt isn`t a great snack because it doesn`t calm your appetite and might seem boring. But honestly yogurt can be fantastic because you can get so creative with it.
I usually just go for a plain vanilla yogurt, and then the fun part is dressing up your yogurt with the extra toppings (just like you would do with ice cream). Today I topped my yogurt off with a healthy granola because I was craving chips or something crunchy, and this definitely helped. Fresh fruits are also a great choice, along with a variety of nuts or your choice of crunchy, clustered cereal (such as Go Lean or Kashi).
