Smashbox Brow Tech To Go Review
Recently, I shared my haul from the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique, which you can see here: http://www.luuux.com/viz/shoppers-drug-mart-beauty-boutique-haul
One of the products I ended up buying at the suggestion of the sales lady, was the Smashbox Brow Tech To Go duo pencil.
I have been searching for a shadow to help fill in my brows for a while. I`m lucky. To have a good arch and natural shape to my brow, and I rarely need to tweeze or clean up since after years of threading, it seems the hairs have quit coming back! But the problem with my brows is that they are very sparse.
I normally use Urban Decay`s Darkhorse to fill them in - it`s the perfect colour match to my brows. BUT I don`t like how it has shimmer! It`s much more obvious during the day, and not the look I want lol.
I don`t normally like pencil`s either, since they create such a harsh line. But this product happens to be a powder that has been formed into the pencil shape. It create a much more natural look, and comes off lightly. They only have 2 colours, `Taupe` and `Brunette` but they are buildable, so you can get closer to your natural colour.
It`s also a twist up pencil, and is in an angled shape to make application easier.
I chose Brunette and it`s been amazing. It take just a few seconds to fill in my brows since it`s so handy, and it even has a brow gel on the other end, to help them stay in place all day and night!
I totally love this product.
The one thing that`s deceptive about this product is the `To Go` part. It`s super handy to toss into your make-up bag, but the sales girl totally suggested otherwise. Since it`s a pressed powder, it`s likely to smash from being tossed into your purse! Not good! However, there is usually no need for touch ups in the brow department during the day anyways. You can just do them in the morning and forget about it for the rest of the day.
Overall, I`m a total fan of this product, despite the steep price tag. It cost around 30 bucks, but I`ve been using it really often, so I think it was a good investment!
