I hauled a load of LUSH bath products from their online website way back when they were having their Christmas sale. When I finally received my order there were a few things that were left out but LUSHs amazing customer service sent my missing items immediately along with this freebie, Jilted Elf.
Its a green bath and shower jelly with gold shimmers. The first impression it made was it that it stinks. Its ingredients include cinnamon oil which Im not a big fan of and a few other oils. I eventually felt alright about the smell so I thought Id use it up just so theres one less product I need to use.
One interesting claim they make is that it clears hangovers I cant comment on this because Ive never used it whilst I was hungover, in fact I didnt even finish it. Why? The smell got unbearable in the shower I had to stop using it halfway through. In the end I left it to melt, its wasteful but I know me or anyone else in this house wouldnt finish it off. I guess thats why its a freebie because I dont expect sales for this product to shoot up once people smell it.
It looks like theres a lot of gold shimmers but you dont notice them much on the body. I was afraid that Ill come out the shower like a disco ball as well. If you give it a rub rub then itll start to foam but it slipped out of my hands a few times. I felt a bit like a kid chasing a jelly in the shower LOL. I think jilted elf will last you a few shower, in my case that was bad news because I couldnt wait to get rid of it.
Overall I wont purchase this with my own money neither would I like it as a free gift or recommend it to people unless youre crazy about cinnamon and the other oils combined in this product. I did keep the pot though because it had a sticker which said if you bring back 5 lush pots you get a free fresh face mask to encourage recycling. Ill definitely be making more lush purchases in future to try out their other products.
