In Japan, one of the number one selling skincare products is the Cure peeling gel, but if I want to get that I always have to get a cousin to bring it for me over the holidays or whenever they visit. That`s why when I saw this at Skinfood for $12, I thought it would be a good alternative, and I would always be able to go to a store and get it. I think it`s comparable, it doesn`t feel as light and watery, but it works the same.
What a peeling gel does is that it removes the dead skin cells off of your skin, and it`s a good product to use as a gentle exfoliator because some scrubs can be really harsh and over do it. I use this every couple of days, and I use this for my face and body. It works really well for exfoilating the lips, some dry patches where you have acne.
FACE.I think it does help areas where I have acne because it gets rid of all the dead skin cells and when I apply my acne serum, it can really get in there. My skin has been looking a lot better!
LIPS. I love using it on my lips because those dry flakes just come right off and it doesn`t feel all tingly like a sugar scrub. It`s really gentle, and great for using in the winter and fall where my lips are usually more dry. I hope that it`ll prevent my lips cracking and all that nasty stuff from the cold weather.
ELBOWS/ANKLES/KNEES. The skin by my elbows and ankles are the driest areas on my skin, and I know for most people elbows, ankles, and kees are the areas that tend to get a little more dry. This peeling gel works really well for getting so much of the dry patches off! Then I just moisturize with coconut oil, and those areas have been looking much better now. In the past, I would just moisturize and it would still be dry, but using the peeling gel with the coconut oil has really helped.
