[Skincare] CICAPLAST Baume B5 (ampCo.) | La Roche-Posay

I need to tell you a little story behind this product before I jump into the actual review, so please relax and be patient.

Last week my skin went a little bit crazy. It all started with a couple of obnoxious spots which I treated with my trusty Clinique S.O.S. spot treatment (which I`ve always used and enjoyed) but this time it didn`t work. Not only my spots were still there, stubborn and gigantic, but the skin around them became red, flaky and inflamed. It was like an eczema or something similar.
Not very nice, trust me.
It was probably caused by a mixture unfortunate things, like my skin being too sensitive, cold weather, drier skin to begin with because of the flu I had, and who knows what else.
Anyways, I decided to go and see a doctor to have a medical opinion on it, and she suggested me this kind of miraculous product called Cicaplast Baume B5 - Soothing Repairing Balm by La Roche-Posay.
OMG. Amazing.

I applied it right after I bought it and I was able to see an improvement in my skin almost immediately. The next morning flakiness was completely gone and I only had redness left. It all went away in two/three days of use of this cream.

So, let`s review the actual product now.
Cicaplast Baume B5 belongs to the CICAPLAST range which is designed to repair damaged and dry skin and soothes a lot of different skin irritations like sun burns or post-surgery marks and so on.
There are two products in this line which address different stages of these kinds of problems.
The Soothing Repairing Balm has a very rich texture, just like a regular moisturizer, which absorbs nicely into the skin without any oily residue; it nourishes the skin and provides minerals like copper, zinc and manganese that help the skin to recover.
The other product is Cicaplast Pro Recovery SkinCare which has a lighter and more gel-like texture; it creates a sort of bandage on the skin with anti-bacterial agents which prevent external aggressions and favour an accelerated repair of sensitive skins.

You use them twice a day, in your skincare routine, for best results.
They can be both applied not only on your skin but also on your lips, elbows, hands and any other part of your body where you may have dry patches (excluding eye-area). They`re all paraben-free and fragrance-free, while they`re enriched with La Roche-Posay thermal water.
They`re equally amazing products and I highly recommend them both, according to your needs.
