We`ve all seen (and surely wanted or been jealous of) those beautiful long elaborate, adorable, japanese nail designs. Adorned with jewels, rhinestones, glitter, bows, and all kawaii related cute decor. Well, for many people, getting or doing nails like that to yourself isn`t very realistic - whether you haven`t got the patience - or maybe you`re like me, and you have short nails.
Either way, I wanted to give some inspiration to a simple look for your nails that mimics those beautiful bejeweled nails we are after.
1.) First, apply a base coat. I use Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top coat.
2.) Next, paint all your nails, except your ring finger, with a bubblegum pink. I used Sinful Colors Proffessional in "313 Pink Forever" (apply two coats if not opaque enough)
3.) Paint the ring finger a bright magenta. I used L.A. Colors color craze in "BCC 565" (apply two coats if not opaque enough)
4.) Next take a shimmery/glittery light pink nail polish and add a layer to the bubblegum colored nails (do not paint the thumb). I simply used one from Forever21 in the color "Coral"
5.) For the design on my thumb nail I used a thin design nail polish from Jordana in white and I also used a dotting tool to create the polka dots and pink stripes.
6.) Draw the bow on with the white precision brush and use the dotting tool for the stripes and dots. Then take the shimmery pink you used earlier and dot some inside each bow loop.
7.) Wait for them to dry and apply a top coat (I used the same one as my base coat).
Hope you got some new ideas c:
