Shrimp Spring Rolls

I picked these <strong>shrimp spring rolls</strong> up at my local grocery store which just happens to have a sushi station in it. The sushi is made either to order or the chefs make it, package it and put it in the refrigerated display in front of their station. I have seen these a ton of times but have never purchased until yesterday. I really wanted to try them. I know Im not a fan of shrimp, but I figured Id rather the shrimp in there than the seaweed in the vegetable spring roll. Im not always the hugest fan of seaweed so I wasnt sure if I was going to truly enjoy it, so I opted for this one. It was $5.49 for the 4 and the small little container you see is a sweet and sour sauce for the rolls. I ate one and I must say they are really good and the sauce compliments it quite well! The spring rolls are made with a clear rice paper wrapper stuffed with carrots, bean sprouts, noodles, cucumber and shrimp. Its really refreshing, the vegetables are nice and crisp and the shrimp is not fishy at all. Granted I only ate one because the thought of eating shrimp kind of makes my stomach go ahh (really, its a mental thing LOL). My boyfriend likes shrimp so I figured hed enjoy them as well. Overall, I did enjoy these and will be repurchasing again. But I think next time I am going to try the California Rolls.
