Shrimp and Pasta Dinner
Here is my simple recipe for a quick and easy dinner.
You can mix and match your own ingredients, but the basics are the same.
You choose a pasta, a sauce, a cooked protein, and your choice of veggies! I have already posted a similar recipe to this that you can see here: http://www.luuux.com/viz/pasta-recipe-with-chicken-and-veggies.
In this case, I used some pre-cooked shrimp, some fettuccine, some frozen mixed veggies and some Philadelphia cooking cream for the sauce.
This was a last minute dinner I had to throw together since it was just me and my mom home that evening, and we both had places to go that night. It was great, because the whole thing was ready in under 25 minutes - it`s all about using your time efficiently in the kitchen. Get stuff done while waiting on other items.
First, I set a pot of water to a boil. Next, I grabbed the frozen shrimp and mixed veggies out of the freezer. To quick thaw the shrimp, I ran it under cool water for 10 minutes.
While the shrimp was thawing, I let the noodles cook, and also started on the veggies in my pan. By the time the veggies finished cooking, the noodles were cooked and ready to go in the pan, as was the shrimp! I added some of the Philly cooking cream along with some pasta water I reserved and mixed everything together until the shrimp were heated, but not overcooked.
Ta-da... Dinner is served!!!
