So, my hair type tends to be a bit oily at the roots, with dry ends. Combine that with a natural wavy texture, and a few weeks after a cut my ends can look downright nasty. Fried looking ends = never a good look, especially when you let your natural curl come out. Because of this, I am constantly on a hunt for a good moisturizing conditioner. And so, on a recent trip to Duane Reade, I saw this product and had to try it!
I generally use a deep treatment masque once a week for my hair-concentrate it on the ends with a little bit up the shaft to the roots. I absolutely love this product-after one use (I left it in about 8-10 minutes before washing it out), my hair felt really soft and silky. It seems to be helping with my dry ends too, which is why I originally bought it. Granted, it is a bit expensive at $9.99 (drug store price), but it will last you a while. I use a little over a quarter sized blob for my whole head. The thing I love the most is there are no harsh ingredients, as in alcoholic based. This is big because that is what dries my hair out the most. So overall, definitely give this product a go if you need a little extra moisturizing!
***I have not tried using this as a leave-in, but might start to do so, since the humidity in NYC has been crazy as of late, and my ends are looking a little worse for wear. I will update if I do.
