Whatever happened to slowly rolling into a heat wave, or even summer weather? Well, certainly not in New England! We`ve gone from raining Monday-Friday for WEEKS and gorgeous weekends, to a killer heat wave. It was 98 degrees today but the heat index was reading 102. It`s going to follow suit for the next two days. Because of this I figured I would dress as business casual as I could, but ensure I wore clothes that would leave me comfortable in the car while having to commute in and out from work. Sure, this wouldn`t be an issue if the AC in my car actually worked -- but alas, it doesn`t and I need to have it repaired because when it`s ridiculously hot like this you realize that AC`s in vehicles are a must.
I wore my pink flamingo shade capris I had picked up at Fashion Bug. They are a cotton material so they breath nicely and I don`t feel like I`m going to swelter to death in them. I then paired it with a floral print Lauren Conrad shirt I just picked up at Kohl`s the other day. It was on clearance ($14.40 down from $39.99). Granted the price was a little more than I would typically pay for a shirt from Kohl`s on the clearance rack but I totally fell in love with it. It`s a very soft greyish shade with floral print in it. It matched perfectly with the capris so I paired them together. Then for shoes I went along with my "boat shoes" I had picked up at Target a little whiles back. Overall a comfortable outfit which made my commute and day an overall not so bad one.
How do you deal with outfit choices (pending weather) when going to work?
