I recently found out that the Vietnamese restaurant I`ve been going to for a few years was owned by my friend`s family from school. We decided to go there to celebrate my dad`s birthday. I ordered " Com Bo Luc Lac " (Shaken Beef w/ Rice) It was on their House Special menu so it was $12. I remembered it being around $8-$9 last time...
The meal included:
Bowl of Broth
The meat was flavorful as always, and it wasn`t chewy like how all of the other Vietnamese restuarants I`ve been to serve it. I love dipping the meat in a sauce they give you consisting of salt and pepper with lime juice. The shaken beef came with mushrooms this time, and I don`t really eat mushrooms so I gave all of them to my brother.
However, I don`t think the meal was worth $12 - I`d order it again if it was $8-9 because this is what I usually order when I go to Vietnamese restuarants.
Have you guys had Shaken Beef w/ Rice? What do you you think? Would you try it? Do you like it?
