Sephora + Pantone Universe recently came out with a line of five nail polishes inspired by gems/jewels called the Alchemy of Color Collection. They all seem to have a duochrome effect. Parachute Purple is the shade that stood out the most to me. The others looked pretty as well, but I thought I already had somewhat similar shades. Parachute Purple has a purple base with turquoise/blue shimmer/duochrome. Sephora describes it as metallic purple-blue, but I think that`s a pretty boring description. Sadly, I have to say that I prefer it in the bottle. The blue isn`t as strong on the nails. I still like how it looks, but it just wasn`t as intense as I was hoping for. The formula wasn`t my favorite. While it was really opaque, it was pretty thick and finicky to work with. It wasn`t very self-leveling. The pictures show two coats of Parachute Purple over a coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails with Nubar Diamont Topcoat. For those of you wondering, from comparison swatches I`ve seen, it is not a dupe for Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie. You can find this (and the rest of the collection) on http://www.sephora.com/sephora-pantone-univese-alchemy-of-color-jewel-lacquer-P375646 for $9. I think that`s a reasonable price, but it only has 0.37 ounces.
