Marsala, a deep reddish-brown, is the official Pantone color of the year for 2015. Sephora has launched cosmetics celebrating this hue under their own brand (see gallery for examples).
Pantone themselves describe the shades as `a naturally robust and earthy wine red.`
Regarding the color itself (not pertaining to make-up), the consensus has been mixed, it is clear that Marsala is not receiving rave reviews across the board.
For make-up, it is a universal color that can be incorporated in eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, liners and even mascara (Sephora`s Mascara & Brow Highlighter is on my wish-list). As far as the Land of Beauty is concerned, in my opinion, Marsala is a winner.
What do you all think, either the color itself or how it works with cosmetics?
