I just posted my makeup collection on Health and Beauty yesterday and I`m debating whether I have too much makeup or too little. Personally, I think that I have enough makeup as I can actually use up all of them.
Currently trying to figure out if I need the Urban Decay Naked palette or not seeing as my Tokidoki palettes actually do have most of the colors.
Found this Izak Baked Eyeshadow Palette over the weekend that looks very similar to the Naked Palette as it has mostly neutral shades. I`m not a big fan of Sephora branded makeup as I find their quality lacking but the packaging of this was way cute =)
There are 8 essential shadow colors of this baked palette, ranging from 2 base colors for your eyelids, stemming all the way down to deep chocolate for those special cat eye or smokey eye looks.
I tried out the palette and I found that, with a lot of these palettes, you really do need an eyeshadow primer. The colors don`t look as nice as the palette itself, but it is quite similar to the naked palette. As you can see, these shadows are very loose and the pigment was not so strong, especially for the base and the pinkish ones. They rubbed off and smudged quite easily as they were so loose. The good thing was that if you used a bit of makeup remover, it takes these right off =). I hate playing tug of war with my makeup trying to get it off.
Overall, this palette seems good for a beginner just trying out makeup as it provides a solid color foundation that lets you play with a lot of looks. For $36, it is also a much cheaper alternative to the Naked Palette. It`s a nice travel size too, though I would prefer the tin and snap case to a paper case.
What do you guys think?
