Okay...I admit that I just didn`t stop at MAC. I also gave Sephora a visit too. I`ve had these items on my want to try list for a while now but I wasn`t able to get them during the VIB sale cause I wasn`t at that level and my sister`s friend that usually gets it for me during their sales was busy so I didn`t wanna bother her. But here is a list of items I picked up at Sephora...
~~NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in the color Stromboli $45
~~NARS blush in Lovejoy $30
~~Tarte Clean Slate Flawless 12HR Brightening Primer $30
~~Sephora 24HR Glitterguard Eyeshadow Primer $14
The NARS foundation was a last minute thing I had wanted to pick up. I still have my MAC foundation that I haven`t used up yet but when I asked the SA to color match me for the NARS foundation, I couldn`t help myself but to grab a bottle. I just loved how the colored matched me and I like how it`s not heavy looking. I think it matches me better than the MAC one that I currently have. I`ll have to wear the NARS foundation for a few days or so and see how I like it. If it works out, I might just repurchase this foundation over the MAC ones but I might still purchase the Studio Sculpt for those special occasions. I was surprised that the color Stromboli was my match cause I`m a NC42 in MAC and I thought I was gonna be matched to Syracuse. I guess my skin might have lightened a bit since I didn`t get any sun exposure. This foundation costs $45 and it`s the most I`ve ever spent on a foundation. I just hope it`s just worth the price. If I do end up loving it, I know I`ll stock up on it during their sales!
The blush I picked up is called Lovejoy and on it is described as a shimmering bronzed rose. I heard that it`s a color that goes with any skin tone and that it just gives your cheeks a healthy glow. But before I decided on getting Lovejoy I was drawn to this other color and I didn`t even know what the name was until I looked at it. It`s called Dolce Vita and too bad it was all sold out. The SA even looked at the back room for me but they didn`t have any. :( There was a JcPenny that had a Sephora inside but I was tired and didn`t want to have to make 2 separate transactions and it would be another bummer if they sold out over there too. I`ll just have to come by again next time to pick it up and hopefully they have it in stock then. I think this time I`ll make a call first. And to my surprise, Dolce Vita was on my NARS Blush try list...lol..
3rd item is the Tarte Brightening primer. I had been using the Revlon Photoready primer and even I am happy with it..I wanted to try something new. Something without that silicone feel to it. Been doing some research and came upon this primer. It claims to brighten and makes your makeup last for 12hrs. I also love the fact that it`s paraben free.
The last item is the Sephora 24HR Glitterguard Eyeshadow Primer. I have some loose eyeshadows and they tend to fade even with a good primer. So I bought this hoping that it would make the colors last longer and I had plans on buying some pigments from MAC and maybe this would work for that too.
Well, that`s it for my Sephora haul. Did anyone else try the Sephora glitterguard primer and how did it work out for you and what did you use it for?
