I wanted to share a really exciting Sephora haul with you guys!
I`m not sure if you have been keeping up with the latest rave reviews but it seems that the beauty world is obsessed with Kat Von D`s latest eyeshadows from the Metal Crush line.
I have been hearing so much about these and the swatches online make them super lust worthy. But along with all the praise has been major gripes about the price tag - these shadows ring in at 21 dollars (US) each! Yes, they are quite large, but with that steep of a price tag, I wasn`t really planning on purchasing them.
However, in came Luuux to save the day! I have been lucky enough to win the weekly competition a few times which means a 10 dollar Sephora gift card! I have amassed a few of these gift cards and decided that a trip to Sephora was in order.
I was initially looking to get the Anastasia World Traveler palette. I haven`t tried any Anastasia products before and this palette was calling my name - literally! My friends have been jokingly calling me `World Traveler` since my summer where I visited 5 different countries and 8 different cities. And after the rave reviews about this palette, I was excited to try it!
However, after checking a few Sephora stores, I wasn`t able to find it in stock.
Each time however, I would go over to the KVD counter and admire the Metal Crush shadows. In the end, I decided to buy them - I had enough gift cards to buy at least 2 of them, so I decided on two shades - Thrasher (a shimmer vivid gold) and Synergy (a deep bronze).
These look amazing since even when worn on their own, they offer plenty of dimension. I could totally see myself just sweeping Synergy across my lids for a quick, lazy-girl smoky evening look.
I would never pay so much for these on their own, but if I win a few more weekly competitions, I may consider buying more!
