I`ve reached the point where I can browse sephora for an hour and not find one thing that screams "buy me". I knew sephora had their chic week 15% off sale and well, you gotta take advantage of that right? I had my eye on a couple of things - the too faced boudoir palette or another of their lipsticks, the new givenchy lipsticks but wasn`t totally sold on any of them. I`ve been looking for a nice every day lipstick, nothing bright or vivid or vampy, nothing too nude because that just washes me out. anyways, I went today and this is what I walked out with
yes, another blush - I know, I know, I have a zillion. ok so maybe not a zillion but I definitely have plenty. I am a big fan of the buxom line by bare minerals. I like their eyeliners, the mascara is one of my favorites, let`s not even mention the amazing glosses AND that one eye shadow palette that I think everyone should own. the blushes were released last year so I`m a little late on the band wagon here but I`m glad I picked this one up. this is the shade "breathless", a blushing peach with no shimmer at all. it looks really bright in the pan and it has really nice pigmentation, easy to build up. I already put it on and yeah, I love it !!!
I have been thinking about an every day lipstick. by that I mean, nothing too vibrant, bright, neon, orange, pink, super saturated, matte, ultra shimmery .... you get me right? I essentially needed a cheaper alternative to my Edward Bess Secret Desire because well, it`s expensive as hell and I want it to last me longer than 3 months !! anyways, I adore my one Sephora lipstick so I thought I`d try out a couple more
how beautiful are these ??? No. 12 is called Guest List, it`s a shimmering toasted almond which pulls pink on me. No. 13 is Forever Yours and it`s a glossy semi sheer azalea. I swatched them at sephora but didn`t try them on because ewwww - I`ve never seen a decent looking tester so I wasn`t even going to try. I got home and tried on Forever Yours first and let me tell you, I am in love, I mean LOVE. it is precisely what I was looking for, spot on.
the sephora lipsticks are $12 so more than drugstore but less than say Mac. the packaging is beautiful, they have no scent, no "flavor", I just love them. I now have 3 and I have a feeling I might be adding more to my collection.
oh and one of the point perks they had was a sample of 3 Dr. Dennis Gross peel pads, could not pass them up, they are so good, so good but so expensive !! I also got a sample of the Nars Sheer Matte foundation, same shade as my Sheer Glow (punjab) just to see how it handles the oil, I`m sure I`ll be comparing those soon.
