Along with a ton of new brushes & tools that Sephora has launched this summer is this Sephora Cheetah Wood Grain Brush Set ($42 USD / $50 CAD). The set comes with four luxurious, synthetic brushes encased in a metallic cheetah-print case (which has a magnetic closure). The kit comes in Turquoise (shown here) and Purple. The set includes a powder, blush, eyeshadow and blending brush.
The handles are wood grain and are nice and sturdy; they also have a nice curvy shape to them which feels super comfortable in my hand. The bristles are synthetic- and im growing much more fond of synthetic brushes each and every day! I find them to be much more resilient than natural hair bristles in terms of quality, durability and they are much better at returning to their original shape after washing. The colors are beautiful in the set, and its really pretty to look at but my first impression was really? only four brushes? It just doesnt seem like much can be done with the brushes that are included
The truth is they work great. They are fantastic quality and blend products very well. They hold their shape and clean easily, but I still dont think I would recommend this brush kit. Why? Because for around $50 there are a lot of other brush kits out there that are just as good, that give many more brushes (like these from Bdellium Tools or Royal & Langnickel). The blush and powder brush in this kit are almost the exact same size, just with a slightly different tapering. The eye brushes are nice, but can really only create a very basic look.
