Woo Hoo! The Sephora Chic Week kicks off today for VIB`s & tomorrow for BI`s. It`s 15% off your entire purchase from April 11th-21st. VIB`s are able to pick up a tote with samples inside a store today only (limited supplies). They can bring a friend for the sale, but only VIB`s will get a tote. Since Sephora only allows one promo code on-line you can`t combine the 15% off with another offer :( and the bag is only in stores. We can use the 15% promo more than once, so depending on the samples included in the tote, I might hit up 2 stores. If you`re in Canada, you can only use the sale coupon in stores, something about 3rd party billing for Canadians doesn`t allow them to process sales on-line. I`ve come up with a list of items I want to get so I can try to keep myself from impulse purchases of items I don`t need. I`m going to the store today to pick up the tote, but I rather do the bulk of my shopping on-line so I can take advantage of ebates cash back ( /viz/ebates-cash-back-shopping-0 ) My list keeps changing, but this is a rough idea: 1. AmorePacific CC cream or PTR CC cream or Hourglass TM (unless I really don`t like it, I`ll probably end up with the AP without looking at the others) I need to swatch the AmorePacific in store but it seems like such a neat concept & the reviews look good. 2. Perricone Cold Plasma Body. I can`t find a dupe for it & one bottle lasts me a year if I use it sparingly. 3. OPI gelshine in I`m Wired or Havana Dreams 4. Clarisonic replacement brushes. I`m out but undecided between the deep pore & acne brush heads. 5. Nars lip gloss in Dolce Vita 6. A waterproof mascara (haven`t figured out which one) But now I hear Givenchy is coming out with a purple waterproof in May, so I might hold off. Last year I really liked a YSL waterproof in a deep plum, but they don`t make it anymore. 7. Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa water. By far the best waterproof eye makeup remover I have tried. 8. Clinique M Shave Aloe Gel for the Boss Man. Possibly getting - Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien or Lodhi, I have to swatch it in store - Murad acne treatment concealer - Bosia Detoxifying Black Cleanser - Benefit Eye Bright - Fresh Seaberry Exfoliating Soap - Stila Countless Color pigments. The shades look so pretty A lot, I know. I tend to buy the more expensive repurchases during the sales (that only happen 2x a year) so I don`t feel too guilty about my spending. I`ve actually been really good this year even though I re-qualified for VIB in February; It was those stupid points promotions I got a mask during skincare 2x points & then during fragrance 3x points I got a perfume & cologne for my boyfriend which was $200 just on fragrance But I haven`t made any impulse purchases, and am sticking to things I need more than want. Keeping my wish list on the Sephora site updated is a huge help. If I see something I might like, I add it to my wish list. When I`m in a store & want to get something that`s not on my list, I add to the list instead of buying it. Another tip for Sephora addicts I read, is every once in a while when you go grocery shopping, buy a $25 Sephora gift card. This way you can save up on them, without spending too much at Sephora at once. I have 2, $10 gift cards from Viggle and will use those in store. $20 plus 15% off does not seem like a lot, but when you`re buying a $90 body lotion, every bit helps. Gosh I have problems
Questions 1. Are you a VIB? 2. Are you going to a store today for your tote? 3. What`s on your shopping list/wish list? 4. What do you do to keep your Sephora spending in check? ~*~ Image is mine, taken on my iPhone ~*~ makeup skincare
