Screen printing at home

So, in my /viz/haul-hm-bag-and-accessories /viz/haul-victoria-secret-beauty-bag posts I`ve been talking about going to a fraternity banquet tomorrow. My date/the person who asked me is actually a new brother from this year, so he is getting installed at the event. Since he is getting installed, and he was kind enough to pay for my ticket/dinner for the night, I decided I should get him something to celebrate his new brotherhood! However, since it`s so short notice, I can`t really buy anything offical (i.e., from a Greek apparel store) so I need to use my noggin! haha. Usually people make pillows or blankets for these kinds of things and I would usually do that but... Honestly, I just feel lazy and I don`t want to spend my night sewing (so horrible, I know!) ANDDDDDD today Michael`s had a 50% off one item coupon (today only, so this is useless for anyone that wanted to go to MIchael`s tomorrow, sorry! But there is a valid ONLY tomorrow) so I decided it was fat and I should go to Michael`s to see what they have. My friend suggested screen printing a shirt for him with his letters so I went to pick up a screen printing kit! If you don`t know what screen printing it, it`s basically panting (printing) on a shirt through a screen. Yeah... It`s really that easy... If you google or youtube, you can see a lot of videos/websites on how to do it at home. Shirts that you buy at the store that have designs on them have been screen printed. Anyway, I went to Michaels to pick up a screen printing kit. My Michael`s had a really small selection actually... And I was texting my friend to ask what paint and kit she used (because she made some shirts for some of her sorority sisters before) and she was telling me she didn`t have paint she just used printer ink. I should`ve realized that she was talking about iron-on transfer sheets, but I didn`t u.u And Michael`s was closing so they were shoo-ing everyone out. So I grabbed this kit, it was originally
$39.99 but with my coupon only ended up being
$19.99 + tax. I still haven`t opened it yet, though. I think I`m going to go back to Michael`s tomorrow and see how much the iron on transfers are and if they`re in my budget enough, return this and buy the iron on`s with the I might end up keeping this kit though, because I do like to do crafty things and it`s a pretty good price becuase it comes with the frame, a squeegee, 4 oz of paint (this stuff is expensive!), and one screen so it`s a pretty good deal for only $20, actually. I`m just lazy and want the quickest thing possible (moreover, the paint will take time to dry so the iron-on would be better since the banquet is tomorrow). I shall write a review on this kit if I end up using it though! :) Have any of you Luuux-ers ever screen printed? What materials do you use?
