Labor Day was full of food, music, and fun times. I spent the day going to the Arts, Beats, & Eats festival in Royal Oak, MI and I had such a great time. We initially wanted to go there to see the live concerts, but because we wanted to get a good spot by the stage we went a few hours beforehand to walk around and check out everything at the festival.
I absolutely love checking out small booths of local talent and everything I saw was amazing. There were blown glass pieces, ceramics, paintings, photos, etc. What was even better was that everything was for sale for you to buy and support the artists.
So after spending the day walking around, it was finally time for the concert and let me tell you, we had an amazing view of the band (we were about 100 feet from the stage!). Pistol Day Parade opened up the show, and although we had not heard of them before that day, they are definitely a new band to add to our playlist. Saving Abel was amazing live and they interacted with the crowd so well!
Most of the songs they played were from their new album so that was amazing, but what was even better was when they ended with my favorite song from them "Addicted."
What a great way to end our long weekend!
p.s. I did not bring my camera so this was the only picture I took from my phone, but my boyfriend has amazing pictures of all of the bands that day for us to keep for memory.
