Sausage and Peppers

What you need:

1 package Sweet Italian Sausage (5 links)

1 large onion (Preferably sweet, but any white onion will do. Roughly chopped big pieces )

4 medium bell peppers, chopped. (one of each color!)

1 jar Bertolli 5 Cheese marinara.

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

½ bag of No Yolks Extra Broad Egg Noodles

What you do:

In a large skillet, put 2 tbsp EVOO and bring to a madium heat. Poke holes in sausage links so they dont rip open. Place links in hot oil and cover about 3 minutes. Flip sausages and heat for 3 minutes. You do not want your sausages cook through at this stage, just lightly browned to render some fat into your pan.

Add your chopped bell peppers and roughly chopped to hot grease and coat them in the grease, Cook for about 5 minutes or until peppers and onions begin to wilt.

While the peppers are carmelizing, cut your sausages into bite size pieces.

Add Marinara to the peppers and bring to a boil. Then add sausages. Boil for approximately 15 minutes covered, 5 minutes uncovered.

While the mixture is boiling, cook ½ bag egg noodles. I like to take the extra sauce from my jar with a little garlic powder and put it in the water to cook the noodles. When noodles are done, drain and set aside.

Once all your sausage and peppers are boiled down, turn off heat and add noodles.

Dinner is served!!!
