One of my favorite and affordable spots for a burger is The Habit Burger Grill. This place is a lot like In & Out but with more options. Every time I go to DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), my boyfriend and I always stop by DSW to grab a bite to eat. Once I walked into the door - there was a `new` burger called the Santa-Barbara Style Charburger and it caught my attention immediately because there`s avocado! I don`t know about you, but I love me an avocado burger!
What`s in this burger for less than $6 bucks?
Two 100% fresh ground beef patties char-grilled with melted American cheese then layered with a spread of mayo, pickles, crisp lettuce, freshly sliced tomato, caramelized onions and a thick, chunky layer of fresh California avocado all served on grilled sourdough. I added $1 extra for some crispy bacon.
Thoughts on the new burger? I don`t necessarily need/prefer two patties, but this burger was darn delicious! I only had half and was full. I love the avocado definitely a nice kick and bacon is totally needed. I will definitely repurchase this burger and it`s quite affordable considering the portion.
What else my boyfriend and I got?
- My boyfriend had his second favorite burger off the menu which is the Teriyaki Charburger. This burger has grilled pineapple, mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions on a toasted bun, also added swiss cheese and bacon for extra cost.
- We shared a side of onion rings but that was a bummer because the onion rings weren`t crispy as I liked. Once you picked up the onion rings it`d fall apart.
- We also shared a strawberry shake with no whip cream and that was a nice treat since it was hot out.
Overall: We spent $17 and some change for our late lunch, which isn`t that bad. The only bummer was the onion rings. We will definitely be returning to Habit Burger! If you have Habit Burger nearby, I`d recommend this spot!
