Last Sunday I was at Pier 39 in San Francisco because of my nephews birthday party which was at the aquarium and I got there early so my sister and I walked around the Pier. Pier 39 is one of those tourist places to go if your in the city. Ive been going here ever since I was little I use to think it was the most boring place ever I only wanted to go here just to see the sea lions and thats it, but then again when I would come here when I was younger it was always on the coldest and windiest day in the city so I guess thats why I didnt like it much lol. Well this particular day was no different, it was super cold and super windy even though the sun was shining. It was raining the past few days before but not on this day thank goodness because driving into the city in the rain is one thing I didnt want to do! I guess now that Im older I appreciate Pier 39 more. The pier is filled with so many great restaurants and stores and of course you can see the sea lions! They also have an aquarium there too. There are picturesque views from ever part of the pier and you can see Alcatraz from the Pier as well. Also from one side of the pier you can see the golden gate bridge and then on the other side of the pier you can see the bay bridge. There is also the carousel on the pier which I use to go on when I was a kid. Pier 39 is just a fun place to bring the family for a day trip. I wouldnt spend the whole day there since its mostly restaurants but of course after you can easily just drive down towards union square.
