San Francisco Eats: Mango`s Taqueria Cantina

Last week, my family and I took a trip to San Francisco in celebration of my mom`s and my little sister`s birthdays (July Birthdays). After the smooth sail of the Bay Ferry and the thrilling roller-coaster like Rocket Boat (highlight of the trip), we went to Mango`s on Pier 39, serving Mexican cuisines. (My brother actually bought a $80 voucher for $40 on Groupon earlier that day so this was our lunch fix.) the place is nice and it wasn`t busy so we got out meals quickly. Waiter was nice and helpful.

Taste: 3/5
Chips & Salsa: Salsa is not spicy (which is great for me because I can`t handle my spice) and delicious. A bit bland but still good and addicting.
Carne Asada: Meat is tender but seasoning was bland. My dad actually poured salt onto his meat.
Mango Salad: 5/5 I would come back for this dish. Delicious and refreshing. Dressing is vinaigrette on a bed of spinach spring mix, embellished with mango and another type of fruit (forgot the name).
Fajitas: Delicious and seasoned well. Another favorite dish. I don`t like tacos so I didn`t eat it as a tacos (not a fan of tortilla). Instead, I ate it as of if it was a stir-fry dish.
Tamales: A big disappointment. Seasoned was bland and the sauce that covered the tamales tastes like spaghetti. Another thing, it was very small for the price. We paid ~$8 for 1 small tamale. From where we live, that size is only $1-$1.50 and is much more flavorful. I couldn`t finish it because I didn`t like it.

Address: PIER 39, 39 Pier, San Francisco, CA 94133
