San Diego Safari Park

My family, boyfriend and I spent 1 of our 3 daya Memorial Weekend at the San Diego Safari Park, previously known as San Diego Wild Animal Park. The mascot of the Safari Park is the rhino! This park is literally in the middle of no where and the park has a ton of acres for the animals!

What can you do at the park?
- There is an area for your kids to play on the jungle gym/cool zone for your kids to play in the water
- Africa Tram, a 25 minute bus tour around the field, visiting wild animals - this is free with admission however note this is very busy expect a wait.
- Carousel for kids
- Petting area
- Cheetah run
- There are a ton of sections of the park such as: Safari VIllage, Nairobi Village, Gorilla Forest, African Woods, African Outpost, Lion Camp, The Grove, Elephant Valley, Tiger Territory, Condor Ridge, World Gardens, Asian Savanna and African Plains.

Overall thoughts: I would not recommend holidays because it is crazy packed! For $44 each person, I thought it was expensive (however boyfriend/I had the yearly pass so we were free). This park compared to the San Diego Zoo has a lot of fees like parking fee, attraction fees and what not. I prefer and would recommend the San Diego Zoo instead -- free parking there too!
