When I visit the USA I always stock up on make up. Even though the tax rate is almost always higher minus Hawaii, the products will be cheaper than they are in Canada by like $10-20 it is ridiculous considering our dollar is only like 5 cents lower :(. So on my trip to San Diego, I stopped in the Fashion Valley Mall and decided to head over to Neiman Marcus to pick up some foundations and some powder. I picked up the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua since I have heard such great things about it on the internet and picked it up Beige 20. I also got the Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation in Warm Natural and this is hands down my favourite foundation for the summer months or on days/nights I know my make up has to last. The last thing I picked up was the Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation SPF 12 as my La Mer pressed powder foundation smashed to bits and pieces in my luggage :( I still have it but can`t bring it with me because it will leak all over. I also received samples of YSL Opium and the Quelques Fleurs Royale, both I really dislike because they smell like old lady perfumes. The sales associate also included some YSL colognes which smelled so good and I gave those to the man. I hate it when I get samples I don`t like :( The good thing was that right when I walked in a nice Asian lady honed in on me like a shark on a bleeding animal in the ocean haha. I don`t like to wait when I want to buy something so if I make eye contact you better come help me because I don`t want to waste time waiting to be helped.
Have you ever received samples you didn`t like?
Do you purchase certain things when you go on trips either based on price or availability?
