Nokia leads the mobile phone market for more than 14 years, but the beginning of 2012 could mean the beginning of Samsung`s leadership.
The Reuters news is, according to a survey of several analysts. Nokia has announced its figures for the 1st quarter of 2012, between January and March, and sold 83 million phones, 71 million phones and 12 million smartphones. But analysts expect a higher number by Samsung.
Analysts predict that Samsung has sold 88 million phones during the first quarter, which will provide market leadership to the South Korean company.
In late 2011, the statistics also gave the Nokia`s leadership in smartphone sales, with a lead of almost 6%, but even at that time to show a sharp drop compared to previous periods.
Nokia had already been lost for several months, but the cheap mobile phones that the manufacturer still has kept the Finnish company at the top for long, however, the crisis of Nokia is reflected in the results, as with the Samsung`s growth, giving you the lead.
But we have only certainties on April 27, when Samsung disseminate the results of the first quarter of 2012.
