This is the third polish I have tried from the Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect line. I have to say, I am really enjoying all of the ones I have worn thus far. Like it`s sisters, Whisper is a very delicate color that is even more tame than it appears it the bottle. It is sheer but can definitely be built up. Whisper is probably one of, if not THE, softest lilac shades I own. It almost comes off as a pinky-lilac. It has extremely fine micro shimmers in it like all of the others. However, I feel like they show up a touch more in this particular color. It is still subtle, but I feel like the others looked more like a creme finish at a glance where as this one has a bit of sheen. It kind of makes me think of the pretty inside of a shell. That pearly, glistening look. Even the color kind of reminds me of that. So far, I feel like this one has been the most sheer. The first coat could barely be detected. It had more of a pearl look but not much color. The second coat was significantly better but still far too sheer for my liking. I am wearing three coats here. This is one of those colors that I think could be worn even in office settings without anyone thinking you`re too bold with the nails. While I, personally, don`t think pastel purples are out there I know some are uncomfortable wearing them in day to day settings or at work..but I really think this is one that everyone can be comfortable wearing. It is extremely tame and definitely not attention getting. (first two photos taken under artificial indoor lighting. second two photos taken outdoors in natural sunlight)
