Salad of the Day: Greek Salad from Safeway

The other day I was really hungry after work, so I decided to buy my dinner at a nearby Safeway. I love Greek salad, and there weren`t very many other healthy-ish choices, so I had small serving of that. :)

This salad was really good! It had cucumber, green pepper, cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, and feta cheese in it. There was NO red onion! I am not a red onion hater, but I have had greek salads from restaurants/cafes before where literally HALF the salad consisted of red onion. That is way too much and I just end up picking out most of it. I didn`t have to do that with this salad, so I was happy about that. I was offered a dressing for the salad, but I said no to it, as I don`t like most premade salad dressings. This salad was moist and flavourful enough on its own, so I`m glad I didn`t opt for the dressing.

As tasty as this salad was, it was quite over priced - I paid almost $4 for it, before taxes. Yikes! Next time, I`ll make my own if I can. I don`t want to make a habit of buying tiny, $4 salads, LOL.
