My older brother once mentioned about this restaurant that serves the best Vietnamese sandwich over our `All You Can Eat Lobster Buffet` dinner we had a couple months ago. Of course, I didn`t really pay any attention since I was still drooling at my 3 lobsters. It wasn`t until my older sister (who was with us at the time of the lobster dinner) remember about it. We decided to pay a visit to this restaurant, Duc Huong, just last week for breakfast.
On our first visit, it was 11 in the morning and the line was very long that it reached beyond the door. Despite the long line, it wasn`t a long wait. We ordered 2 #1 Large and total came out to $7.50. Each sandwich is $3.75 for #1 Large (a small sandwich is $2.00). The one we ordered is the combination one. They do offer 8 other varities (1 is chicken and there is also a vegetarian version). Each sandwich comes in Small or Large. I recommend ordering a Large since I feel that it`s a better price for a long sandwich.
Taste: Heaven just opens its gate. Really, the angels are singing in beautiful choir while I`m enjoying every single bite of this sandwich. Bread is crispy on the outside but super soft inside. They were very generous on the meats. Sauce is just the right amount. De-li-cious! I usually pay about $3.50 for a combination at a different Vietnamese sandwich shop and the size is half of this size. O_O And I only paid $3.75 for this long sandwich at this place. Well worth my money. The main differences I can taste between this sandwich at Duc Huong vs all other shops are the softness of the bread and the freshness of its ingredients. I have brought my other siblings to this place and they all agree that this one has the best Vietnamese sandwich.
