I have been riding my bicycle around quite a bit this summer, but even though I have lived in my city since I was 6 there are areas of the city I never go to or they are newer areas that have yet to be explored. So I just bike around areas I know because I don`t want to get lost. RWC Japan has come out with the CN-350TOP One Piece Personal Navigation Device which mounts on top of your bike and has a 3.5-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth connectivity, and an SDHC card slot. It is also water resistant, calculates maximum speed, average speed, travel time and elapsed time, distance, calorie consumption, altitude, speed, and movement. The unfortunate thing is that it is $510 holy crap. I could buy a car gps for like $59 and strap it to my bicycle with duct tape, mind you it wouldn`t be water resistance but who says I can`t stick it in a ziploc bag. I guess I will just bike on routes I know for now until that $510 becomes a $51.
Have you ever gotten lost in your own city with driving, biking, walking or bussing?
Are there areas of your city you are not familiar with and rely on gps to get around?
I have a gps system but only break it out in areas I am not familiar with.
