THE jeweller behind the earrings worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day, Robinson Pelham, is opening its debut flagship store. The previously appointment-only jeweller is also branching out into ready-to-wear pieces for the first time.
The new store will be situated on Elystan Street in Kensington, alongside neighbours Stella McCartney and Joseph. To celebrate the venue, the trio behind the brand - Vanessa Chilton, Zoe Benyon and Kate Pelham Burn - is launching the Elystan collection, a selection of fine jewellery inspired by cocktails, alongside five other new lines.
The brand, which has been in business for 16 years, specialises in matching "the right jewel to the right wearer" and has had over 7,000 private commissions of fine statement jewellery - including the Duchess` bridal earrings. Both Catherine and sister Pippa Middleton wore bespoke Robinson Pelham jewellery on the royal wedding day - gifts from parents Michael and Carole Middleton. The bride`s earrings featured an acorn and oak leaf motif, designed to echo the coat of arms of the Middleton family.
