Rowing is the best exercise I have ever come across to tone up the upper body and your arms. It is true however that rowing is not a sport but a way of life because rowers get up at 5am to train 7 days a week no matter what the weather is. That is unreal dedication.
To be a good rower you need to be self motivated because you need to push yourself further and further when your arms start to blister and the pain seeps through. Your arms will be noticeably toned though and you will gain a lot of upper body strength. So for people who are really interested in working hard to lose weight and tone up their arms, try rowing.
