What`s for tonight`s dinner? Vietnamese food. I normally order pho from this local restaurant that opened a year or two ago but tonight, I decided to try some other items off the menu. For an appetizer, I ordered the `Mixed Order` which is two rolls of each grilled pork and shrimp paste. In English, these rolls are called Spring Rolls or in Vietnamese Nem Nuong (Grilled Pork) or Chao Tom (Shrimp Paste). What`s inside the Spring Rolls? Rice Noodles, Fresh Vegetables, and the Meat dipped in a Fish Sauce/Mixture. I`m normally not a fan of the dipping sauce but this one was quite tasty (Like a sweet and sour sauce). Then, I ordered the most expensive rice entree their House Special Combo called `Com Tam Dac Biet Tau Hu Ky` Translated into English = Grilled Pork, chicken, shrimp, and steamed meatloaf with rice.
Overall: My boyfriend and I shared dinner because we had quite a lunch today. Food was great but a bit expensive for the four rolls, they were $7 bucks! Our total for just two items plus tip was already $20 bucks!
