Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Lilac Pastelle

***Image is mine. Pls do not steal***

This lip gloss colour came out with the Revlon Summer 2010 collection a few years ago and was a widely talked about colour because of the unique lilac colour. I wasn`t really into milky lip colours back then but nowadays I am getting more adventurous with my lip colours. With spring around the corner, I finally gave into the craze (only 2 years late lol) and decided to buy the Lilac Pastelle lip gloss. This colour is supposedly a dupe for Lavender Whip lipstick by Mac but since I don`t own that particular shade, I cannot compare between the two.

The colour is a milky lilac colour that looks very bold in the tube. However on the lips, it is much more milky and semi-sheer. I say semi sheer because it`s more pigmented than most lip glosses but not as pigmented as the other colours from this collection. I do like this colour but find it difficult to apply without leaving streak marks. I need to apply a nude colour underneath or erase my lips with concealer first, otherwise the colour looks unevenly distributed. That said, I do love the unique colour lots and find that it pairs well with pink lipsticks.

Overall , the Super Lustrous lip gloss line is amazing because of the non-sticky formula, pigmentation, price and chic packaging.

Do you own this shade? What do you pair the lip gloss with?
