I first heard about revlon lip butters on youtube thanks to Holly Ann-Aeree. It peaked my interest so I searched up more videos on youtube about these lip butters and ohhh myyyy.... so many gurus were talking about these. And then one of my favorites, ThatsHeart, had these in one of her favorites of the month-- so I gave in.
I went to Walgreens and they were on sale. Buy one, get the second one for half off. I chose all the light-medium pink tones... with the exception of "Sweet Tart" which is a medium pink and was sold out. =( So, I chose "Gumdrop" instead which is a mix between.... a really light cool-tone pink & lavender. I thought the color was unique because I don`t have anything like it in my collection of lip products. The other colors I picked up were Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake and Cupcake. My favorite out of the bunch is strawberry shortcake... it`s the third one on the picture with swatches. It`s a medium pink tone, but I love them all.
I love to try all lip colors and I love different colors for different seasons. Reds for the holiday seasons, browns/burgundy for autumn, nudes for summer and pinks for spring. However, my everyday go-to colors are definitely pinks.. but nudes comes in at a very close second place. As soon as I see a sale for the lip butters, I`m picking up the nude shades as well... and hopefully, Sweet Tart will be in stock too!
So, do lip butters really make your lips softer? Yes, I do believe that they make my lips a bit softer but I`ve never worn the lip butters by itself. I always apply my EOS lip balm underneath.... the two of them together is the perfect combination for ultra soft lips! I didn`t really notice that they were softer at the beginning of the application but after 15 mins of wearing the lip butter, I did feel the softness and it felt like I only had lip balm on!
Have you tried the Revlon Lip Butters? What is your favorite shade? Which lip color shades are your favorites?
