After watching many of the beauty gurus on Youtube give glowing reviews of the newest lip product from Revlon, I made a special trip to the one store in the area I suspected might have a few lip butters in stock: Target. As luck would have it, they DID have a few, but that was the catch: there were only a few colors left! I took the advice of Missglamorazzi and snatched up one of the last Strawberry Shortcake colors, along with Peach Parfait. I didn`t want to pick up too many shades without bringing them home to test, but as it turned out these became my favorite lip products!
Let me make this clear before I move on - I am a chapstick girl at heart. I spent years and years suffering from dry, cracked (oh yes, cracked) lips, until I got an apartment with an old friend from high school who was completely addicted to Burts Bees. That is when I myself became addicted. When I started gaining an interest in makeup this past summer I was not interested in a colored lip AT ALL. I was in love with my Burts Bees, and I also felt self conscious about sporting any kind of color at all on my face. This product caused me to get over it, and I`m glad I did.
The third color, Sweet Tart, I picked up at my local WalMart a few days ago (they`re finally in!). I love that they feel like a really moisturizing chap stick, but pack a lot of color in. I`ve tried tinted lip balms in the past but they always look a little too "frosted" for my taste. I`ve also heard that Revlon lip products in general are fantastic, so I`m looking forward to branching out to some of their other lines.
I wish I could have gotten some swatches, but my digital camera is a little out-of-date and sadly, these are the best pictures I could get!
Has anyone else tried out lip butters? Do you have any recommendations for fair skin tones like myself?
