So I know that these lip butters have been around for quite a while, and that a lot of people have already reviewed them, but I have decided to add my own review to the mix.
I bought my Revlon lip butter at Shoppers Drug Mart while they were on sale for about $5.99.
They come in a variety of shades, but I chose the colour Lollipop which is a bright pink/fuchsia shade. You can see in the swatch that it also has some light shimmer as well.
I really like the colour pay off for this product. The colour goes on smoothly and fairly evenly, and unlike most lipsticks it isn`t drying on the lips.
My biggest problem that I encountered with the lip butters is that the colour didn`t stay on. While it felt nice on the lips, I could feel it moving around I would need lots of reapplications after eating, drinking etc.
I found that the best bet was to apply the product and later blot it with a tissue. This would help get a flush on the lips that would last longer. If I didn`t blot, the outside corners of my lips would look super saturated with colour while the middle faded a lot faster.
Next time, I think I will choose a more natural colour since I liked the way this one felt on my lips, and a more natural colour will likely need less re-application.
Overall, I would probably recommend this product, but not the brighter colours if you want them to stay put.
