The Revlon lip butters have taken the makeup world by storm. Then came the L`Oreal Colour Riche Lip Balms that people called "Imitation" Revlon Lip Butters.
Well, I bought both brands and I have to say that after researching what goes into these products...Revlon fails.
The first ingredient listed in their lip butters is PolyButene. A type of chemical used in gasolines, engine oils and greases. Does this sound like something you would want on your lips? No wonder its so moisturizing..jeez.
The first ingredient in L`Oreal Lip Balms is Tocopheryl Acetate. THIIS IS ACTUALLY VITAMIN E. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tocopheryl_acetate
After stumbling upon this realization, I am boycotting all Revlon Lip Butters. I rather have REAL vitamin E on my lips than some chemical refined from C4s and used in cars.
Be careful what you put on your lips.
I`m a search specialist at a media agency who researches the products I buy. I did NOT base this post on wikipedia. I used other references for the information and only linked wiki here since its easier for readers to understand it.
