I`ve been hearing about these lip butters nonstop for the past week and a half, so I took it upon myself to find out what they`re all about. I already have an outstanding collection of lipsticks, glosses, balms, and other lip products, and the last thing I needed was more, but I guess I was just intrigued by the hype.
I only picked up one color, which is a nice peachy nude called Creme Brulee.
It feels buttery smooth, and lasts all day on the lips; about seven hours for me.
The first set of lips are my bare lips; the second set are my lips with Creme Brulee.
I don`t find it that moisturizing, but it does make my lips feel soft and smooth when I have it on. The pigmentation is okay, although I feel like it could be a bit better. It takes between three to four coats to get a decent pigmentation, and it feels heavy on the lips. As far as the color, it`s a great nude, and doesn`t wash out my lips. I have fair skin, and it`s hard to find a good nude lipstick that doesn`t wash out my lips, and I think Creme Brulee just gives me a nude sheen lip with a bit of glossiness.
All in all, I think this lip butter is a nice product, but it`s nothing special. If you already have tons of lip products like I do, this is not going to be unique to your collection. Maybe the other colors would have more to offer, but as far as pigmentation and formula are concerned, it`s nothing that stands out from the rest.
