Revlon`s Colorburst Lip Butters have been a popular item ever since they came out at the beginning of this year. You know when a product is "popular" when it happens to always be sold out every time you try to get your hands on it. These lip butters have also been raved about all over the youtube community. Well, its still not to late to get your hands on these babies because drugstores, Target, Walmart, and Ulta carry them still. They normally go for $7.50 but I got mine for a dollar less at Target.
These lip butters come in over 10 shades but I`m here to specifically review the `COTTON CANDY` shade. Since they`re pretty much like a tinted lip balm, the most obvious thing is that they`re very moisturizing on the lips. They glide on very smoothly. They can tend to feel a little sticky but not nearly as bad as the stickiness of a lipgloss. The cotton candy shade is extremely wearable because its such a nude and natural color. I like to wear it on lazy days where I dont feel like wearing much makeup. It gives my lips a perfect hint of pink. Some of the other colors are more pigmented whereas this one comes off more sheer. Theres a slight shimmer but hardly noticeable because of the nude color. They stay on quite a long time due to its thick consistency. This lip butter kind of reminds me of my Chapstick but a much better version of it because it enhances your natural lip color and it doesnt feel as waxy as the chapsticks do. Another great thing about this Cotton Candy shade is that you can wear it over a nice nude lipstick to keep your lips moisturized. I put it on top of my MAC `Creme Cup` or my Rimmel `Airy Fairy`...... such a great combination for when you have a smokey eye look with a nude lip.
I would definitely recommend this color. Theres also a `Strawberry Shortcake` shade that is pretty. Such an easy lipbalm to carry in your purse, affordable, and the packaging is cute.
