This is the last of my lip butters in my collection and this is probably one of the ones I am least thrilled with. I purchased this one back when I first introduced myself to lip butters when they first came out and wasnt completely thrilled with it then. The only reason I purchased was because I accidentally purchased Brown Sugar twice and my Rite Aid mismarked the lip butters, so I got 2 for the price of 1 and it would be stupid to return it and not get another. The shades they had were either too light (Crème Brule) or shades I already own. So ... Sugar Plum it was by the process of elimination. Sugar Plum is a berry-mauve shade with a slight hint of plum in it. It applies very sheer at first, but it is buildable. It sadly is a bit muted against my lips since they are rather pigmented, but I may end up trying to mute my lips with my NARS lip pen and apply. I dont really like having to mute my lips because I feel it sometimes makes the lip product rub off easier. I think this shade would work with a variety of skin tones, but if your lips are pigmented it may not work that great and the sheerness will come off as a smooth looking gloss. The packaging is true to the color of the product within it, although its not as bright as one would assume based on the outside container.
