This is the brightest shade I own in my lip butter collection. When I looked through the top of the cap, I thought it was a pretty pink shade and thought it would apply sheer at first as most lip butters do, but I can say this lip butter is VERY pigmented, even in just one swipe. When I first applied it, I was like ohh(that can be a bad thing when I just ohh LOL) and looked at my boyfriend and he said it looked nice on me. I went back and fourth with it, but I admit, this is on the very edge of my comfort zone, pushing me slightly into uncomfortable, but it is a wearable shade and it is very pretty. Although, oddly, when I wear it, it reminds me of the old school throwback old women lipstick colors I have worn this out on a few occasions and it wears very well. I would describe Raspberry Pie as a bright, opaque magenta color. I would say this color would work with every skin tone, but its definitely a shade to question if you feel this might be outside of your comfort zone. Definitely give it a shot if you like bright lippies or if you are looking for something new to add to your lipstick collection. As with all other lip butters these are moisturizing and they apply like a dream thanks to the formula. As Ive stressed in my other swatches/mini reviews of my lip butters, you should go about your regular chapstick/lip balm routine prior to wearing these. Even though the formula is smooth and moisturizing, it is NOT a chapstick. If your lips are dry, the product will only enhance the appearance of your dry chapped lips. I applied this one day when my lips were a little dry (I forgot to put my lip balm after the shower) and eesh, yeah. So moisturize people! The packaging is cute, a quilted outside container and in this case the container is true to the color of the product inside the tube. Very bright! These retail for $6-8 based on where you purchase but you can get them for cheaper if you purchase during a stores sale or with a manufacturer/store coupon.
