Review:Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation

I`ve probably reviewed every foundation I`ve own so far, except one that I`ve had for a while now. It`s my first foundation EVER actually and its the Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation After watching some videos on Youtube a lot of beauty gurus were raving about this product, I was like "Oh I have it!". Now, lets get into the review!
Unique cream-whipped foundation provides 100% baby-smooth perfection
Skin looks and feels hydrated for 14 hours never rough or dry
Ideal for normal to dry skin types
Oil-free, fragrance-free, Dermatologist-tested, allergy-tested, non-comedogenic wont clog pores, safe for sensitive skin
My Thoughts
First off, this foundation comes in some bulky packaging which I hate, but decided its not a big deal. The product is on the bottom, while at the top theres a compartment you open up where it comes with an application sponge (I used) it sucks. This comes with very little product compared to a liquid foundation or something since this is a cream foundation I tend to use less anyways, so its not a big deal. It has 14g. of product which lasts me quite some time since I had a love hate relationship with it and stopped using it for a few months. On the Maybelline site it says this is for dry to normal skin since its suppose to be hydrating for 14 hrs! I have combination oily skin, but this still lasts on my face for a good 6-7 1/2 hrs before wearing off which isn`t too bad. This is a cream to liquid foundation which is great, I love cream foundation, but the application of liquid more. This has the best of both worlds, it has medium coverage which is totally buildable. It covers dark circles and everything I need it to and evens out my skin tone. Its easy to blend I always use a damp makeup sponge to apply this. It gives me a flawless looking matte/dewy face. Its somewhat matte but not so matte I look like a piece of flat paper. This does not settle into fine lines or anything at all, can cake up if not applied properly I`ve learned that a few times. Now that I`m using it again I really like it. It does what it`s suppose to, on the dry area of my face it does hydrate. The smooth finish looks great, its flawless, and feels great on the face. You don`t feel like you have makeup on at all which I really like. This also looks really good on camera, I`ve notice how much nicer it looks than my other foundations on camera.
The downfall here is probably the fact that even the lightest shade in this proves to be really dark for someone whose super pale. I`m light skinned, but not so light and I have natural undertones the 2nd lightest shade in 150 classic ivory matches my skin perfectly. It`s still probably hard to find a shade since it only has 10 shades.
Bottom Line
I`m going to repurchase another next week. This is about $10 depending on where you get it. I love this light weight foundation for summer. Love love love, been using it everyday as you can see I`ve already hit pan. (:
