Review: Tokidoki quotLion Pappaquot Arte Palette

The product that I will be reviewing today is the
Tokidoki Lion Pappa Arte Palette. This was one of the items that I purchased in my latest Sephora haul (click /viz/late-sephora-haul-0 to see) so I have been using this palette for about a month and including it in my handbags.
PRICE: I purchased this on the Sephora website. Regularly, this palette retails for $10, however, I was able to get it in the sale portion of the site for only $3.
PACKAGING: This palette is in a pretty sturdy, cardboard thin packaging. The top flap has a magnet and is held magnetically to the bottom (base) of the palette. The top flap also has a nicely-sized rectangular mirror. There is also a piece of plastic the size of the palette to protect the shadows from dirtying up the mirror, but I ended up just throwing that away. The base of the palette contains four shadows, each in a square pan. At the very bottom is a bigger square pan that holds the blush. Each eyeshadow pan is 0.03 oz (0.9 grams) and you get 0.11 oz (3.1 grams) of blush. I really adore this packaging because it`s so convenient. I just throw this in my bag and it holds up perfectly since it is sturdy. I have dropped the palette a few times and the products have held up just fine!
REVIEW: The eyeshadow and blush colors included in this palette are so versatile and wearable. The four eyeshadows shade include: - A shimmery white pearl shade with the slightest golden shimmers - A matte soft brown shade - A satin greenish-gold shade - A pearl darker brown with the slightest shimmer The blush is a peachy coral shade with golden shimmers First off, these shadows are so soft and buttery. That white pearl shade is such a nice shade to apply in your inner tear duct and as a highlight shade underneath your eyebrows. The shimmer on this isn`t prominent at all so it brightens just the perfect amount. I really love using that matte soft brown shade in my crease to help define it and also to act as a transition color. It blends out really nicely. The darker brown appears to have shimmer in the pan, however, once on the eyes, I feel like it looks almost matte. This is such a nice shade to define the outer corner of your eyes or to use as a liner if you wanted to. The shade that I find to be a bit harder to wear is the gold shade. It`s not a bright flashy gold nor is it a burnt gold. It`s more of a greenish-gold. This is a satin finish so it gives the eyes more dimension! Lastly, the blush is this beautiful golden peachy coral shade. It`s incredibly soft and pigmented so you do have to be careful when picking the product up on your brush. If you prefer more matte blushes, you wouldn`t like this because it has really prominent golden shimmers in it. It`s a gorgeous color though.
OVERALL, I rate the Tokidoki Lion Pappa Arte Palette an A. I think this palette is really great in many aspects. The Tokidoki packaging is adorable. I love the thin, rectangular cardboard packaging of the palette. It`s great to just throw in your bag for on-the-go. The colors are wearable and they are soft and pigmented as well. The blush is also a nice wearable shade, however, it isn`t as packed as the shadows are so you will pick up more product. For only $3, I think this is a fabulous buy! I bought two to give one to my sister as well!
