Review: Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio

Hello lovely Luuuxers!

I have seen tons of other Luuuxers posting about recently getting this primer trio! I can see why it is so popular because for $9, it is an excellent value! I thought I would quickly give my thoughts, in case anyone was thinking of getting it or using it as a stocking stuffer for the upcoming holidays!

The set comes with three deluxe sized primers:
Clean Slate Poreless 12-Hr Perfecting Primer
Clean Slate Flawless 12-Hr Brightening Primer
Clean Slate 360° Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer

I`ve tried all three for a few weeks now, and am ready to give my opinion!

The Poreless Perfecting primer in the purple tube is the thickest of the three. It is very silicone-y, so it is excellent for filling in pores and lines! I find that this primer is the best for when I am looking to achieve the most flawless finish and fill in the large pores near my nose. I didn`t notice a scent with this primer and it didn`t cause me any skin irritation or breakouts. I am not particularly acne-prone, but my skin is pretty sensitive and I have rosacea, so I love it when products are gentle. The only thing I do not like about this primer is that it sits kind of heavily on your skin. I can certainly tell that I am wearing makeup when I use this, but I think the same goes for most silicone-heavy primers I`ve used. I would recommend this one for special occasions when you need your look to be airbrushed.

The Brightening primer in the brown tube is thinner than the perfecting primer. It glides on the face so easily and is ultra soothing! If you have dry skin, this primer basically acts as a second moisturizer while prepping your skin for foundation. I love how my makeup glides on after using this and my skin feels so refreshed! It also has a lovely lemony scent that doesn`t linger. This is the primer that I have been using for everyday purposes. Even though it does not have silicones in it, I find that it smooths out my skin and makes my makeup go on effortlessly, and doesn`t allow my foundation to pool up in my pores. This primer does not control shine as well as the perfecting one, so I would recommend it to those ladies (like me) who have dry skin!

Lastly, I have had excellent luck with the 360° Creaseless eye primer! It squeezes out of the tube with a milky consistency, and blends in to be transparent. It prevents all of my products from creasing all day long! Furthermore, the gentle ingredients prevent my eyelids from becoming irritated. I used to use UDPP as a barrier because most eyeshadows make my eyelids itch. UDPP worked pretty well, but even that product caused a bit of irritation to me. The Tarte primer keeps my lids comfortable all day long, and makes my eyeshadows look flawless until I wash them off! If there was one product out of this trio that I would splurge to get the full-size, it would be this one! If you are like me and have sensitive eyelids, I highly recommend this product!

Hope this review was helpful to you! Have you tried this primer trio?
