Hello lovely Luuuxers!
This blush is my first foray into high-end blushes. And, I must say, I don`t see myself turning back! I have a few drugstore blushes that I have loved for awhile (Milani Baked Blushes, I`m looking at you!), but the color selection and quality of high-end blushes is totally unmatched by anything in the drugstore. For the most part, I feel that drugstore quality matches high-end for most products, but blush is definitely not one of them!
Without further ado, my first high-end blush! It is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful!
I first was introduced to this blush when one of the makeup artists at Sephora used this on my cheeks and I couldn`t stop looking at my skin afterward! The shade was so beautiful and warm and made my complexion look amazing and bright. I knew that I needed it in my collection and I finally caved in and bought it! It retailed for $25 for 0.20 oz of product. It is so richly pigmented that the price is rather reasonable for how long this will last me!
As for the color, it is true to what you see in the pan: a warm, matte peach-pink. It blends so effortlessly! You can use a light-hand for a subtle hint of color, or build it up for more intense color. I can see this color being suitable for all skintones! I also LOVE how it is matte! I feel like it perks up my skin and sculpts and contours my face at the same time, and is appropriate for daytime and the intense summer heat we have all been dealing with lately.
Speaking of intense heat, the staying power of this blush is insane. I love coming home from work and realizing that this blush is still making my skin look great, even when my foundation clocked out early! LOL!
Overall, I would highly recommend this blush! Tarte is my favorite brand at Sephora and I cannot wait to try other products in the Amazonian Clay line, especially the blush shades Glisten, Natural Beauty, and Dollface!
Let me know if you`ve ever tried this blush, or if you will be trying this someday too!
