A fews weeks ago i had placed an order on Sephoras website and one of the items i got was something i`ve been eyeing for awhile. Its the "On The Prowl" 4 piece makeup set by Too Faced. This set is limited edition and sold online only at Sephora..it runs $26.
I`ve been using this constantly recently and have finally got a complete feel of the set-here is my review of each product:
*Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit-This trio contains 3 products Bronzer in "Peach Leopard", Blush in "Candy Leopard", and a Highlighter/Brightener in "Pink Leopard".
I expected that the Bronzer & Blush would be pigmented as i`ve used and have bronzers & blushes from Too Faced and they`re awesome and extremely pigmented. Well, i was wrong. The bronzer which includes flashes of orange, dark bronze, and a shimmery taupe in a leopard print design is probably the most pigmented out of the 3. The blush which is bright pink & pink light as well as a vanilla color is decent but not very pigmented for something you`d expect from a high end brand. As for the Brighten which is dark/light brown and with shades of purple is probably the worse out of the 3. As you can probably see from my swatches..i had to rub my finger over it about 4 times to even get it to show up. When i use it on my face it hardly appears at all-not even a slight sheen which is a bit disapointing. The trio come in a card board like "case" with a decent size mirror-the back has instructions on how to apply each product.
*Flatbuki Brush- This brush is small then i expected but still nice. Its very soft and works well to apply light bronzer all over the face.
*0.17 oz Primed & Poreless-I`ve never been a big fan of Too Faces Primed & Poreless primer as i find it a little drying and hard to smooth over the face..however, its not a horrible primer and i still will use it if it comes with a set.
*Lip of Luxury in "Cougar"-My first impression of this lipstick when i first saw it online is that it would be way too dark for me. I apply it lightly and usually add a light pink lipgloss over and when applied light it actually looks very nice. I cant pull off dark colors but this lipstick which is a dark reddish rose with undertones of brown has been working for me. I`ve also noticed that it stays on for a good amount of time and i love the packaging as well.
Overall if i knew what i know now i dont think i would have bought this set. I mainly got it for the blush/bronzer/brightener set but it failed in pigmentation...to be honest im a little disapointed with this set...especially since i paid full price for it.
Has anyone else tried the "On The Prowl" set? If so, did you like it?
As always thanks for taking the time to read my review!
